COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

Course Duration:

• One Year Incubation Programme

• Schedule:

  • Weekdays: 3 days per week (after school)

  • Weekends: 2 weekends per month

  • School Holidays: Intensive workshops and projects

Course Description: The Art course aims to cultivate artistic skills and creativity. Students will explore various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and more.

Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate in Creative Art and Technology. Top-performing students will have the opportunity to travel abroad or participate in internships with art professionals and institutions.

CAREER OPTIONS

Art

1. Visual Artist: Create original works of art, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media, for galleries, exhibitions, and personal collections.

2. Graphic Designer: Design visual content for websites, advertisements, magazines, and other media, utilizing various digital tools and techniques.

3. Makeup Artist: Apply makeup for theatrical performances, fashion shows, photoshoots, and personal clients, specializing in creative and artistic looks.

4. Hair Artist: Style and design hair for fashion shows, photoshoots, and individual clients, creating innovative and trendsetting looks.

5. Art Teacher: Educate and inspire students in various art forms, techniques, and history, fostering their creative development.

6. Collage Artist: Create unique art pieces using mixed media and collage techniques, often incorporating recycled materials for sustainable art.

7. Freelance Artist: Work independently, taking on commissions and projects in various artistic disciplines.

8. Art YouTuber: Share art techniques, project tutorials, and creative processes on YouTube, building an audience and monetizing content.

3D Printing

1. 3D Print Designer: Create 3D models for fashion, art, and other applications using 3D printing technology.

2. Product Designer: Design innovative products and prototypes using 3D printing, often focusing on customization and personalization.

3. Additive Manufacturing Specialist: Work in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and healthcare, using 3D printing for advanced manufacturing processes.

4. 3D Printing Technician: Operate and maintain 3D printers, ensuring high-quality production of models and parts.

5. Digital Fabrication Artist: Use 3D printing to create unique, complex art pieces and installations, pushing the boundaries of traditional art forms.

6. 3D Printing Educator: Teach the principles and techniques of 3D printing, preparing students for careers in this cutting-edge field.

7. Freelance 3D Designer: Offer 3D printing design services to clients on a project basis, providing custom solutions and prototypes.

Entry Requirements for the Creative Art and Technology Course

• Age and Grade Level:

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 21.

  • Must be currently enrolled in grades 9-12.

• Interest in Creative Arts and Technology:

  • Demonstrable passion and interest in creative arts (such as hair art, makeup art, and collage art) and technology (such as 3D printing).

• Application Materials:

  • A completed application form.

  • A motivational video clip (up to 5 minutes) explaining why you deserve a spot in the academy and detailing your interest and experience in creative arts and technology.

  • A portfolio of previous creative work or projects (optional but recommended).

• Academic Performance:

  • Satisfactory academic performance in current school subjects.

  • Recent school transcripts or report cards.

• Personal Statement:

  • A written essay (500 words) describing your interest in creative arts and technology, your goals, and how the Creative Art and Technology Course at LGL Academy will help you achieve them.

• Letters of Recommendation:

  • Two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or other professionals familiar with your abilities and dedication to creative arts and technology.

• Interview:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview (in-person or virtual) to further assess their passion, commitment, and suitability for the program.

• Portfolio Review:

  • Applicants may be required to present a portfolio of their work during the interview or submit it as part of the application process.

• Commitment:

  • Willingness to commit to attending the after-school programme three days per week, two weekends per month, and during school holidays for the duration of one year.
