Judy Mkoko Ndika Joins as African Dance and Music Mentor

Judy Mkoko Ndika, CEO of Gugs Native Records and co-founder of the United We Stand community organization, brings her dynamic expertise to our academy. Known for her award-winning dance choreographies that have graced prestigious South African TV shows and stages, Judy’s passion for nurturing talent is unmatched. In addition to her stellar record in choreography, she’s also making waves as DJ Makoti, adding another layer of inspiration for our students.

Mpumi Sizani Appointed Assistant Director and Music & Dance Facilitator

Born and raised in Gugulethu, Cape Town, Mpumi Sizani’s journey is a testament to the power of dreams and perseverance. Starting as a young singer, she honed her craft at the New Africa Theatre Academy under the late Mavis Taylor and later at the University of Cape Town’s College of Music, where she performed with the legendary UCT Big Band.

Mpumi has toured the globe, sharing stages with icons like Khadja Nin, Shakira, and Richard Bona, and contributing her voice as a backing vocalist for South African greats, including Sibongile Khumalo. She has also collaborated with renowned artists and organizations, such as Jazz Art dancers and Judith Sephuma.

Her debut solo album, NDIYABULELA, reflects her love for African music and her deep faith, which fuels her creative endeavors. Mpumi’s wealth of experience and passion for community empowerment will play a pivotal role in guiding our students to new heights.
